01 — About Elisium

A modern Elysium. Not escape — return.

Elisium.org began as a question: what if a place could heal people while people heal the place? Today Elisium is a non-profit sanctuary combining ecology, art and contemplative science.

We are not a hotel. We are not a festival. Elisium is a living organism — a forest that hosts humans, not the other way around. Our architecture dissolves into moss, our food comes from 200 meters away, our schedule follows sun and seasons.

Founded by artists, ecologists and philosophers, the sanctuary hosts long residencies, 3-day resets, and open community days. No noise, no rush, no performative wellness — just depth, beauty and honest work on self and soil.

🌿 RegenerativeWe give back more water, soil and biodiversity than we take.
◍ ContemplativeDaily silence, meditation and digital detox by design.
🎨 Creative32 studios, kilns, darkroom, sound dome for residents.
🤝 CommunalShared meals, circles, volunteer forest days.

From the archives: the name Elisium echoes Elysium — the ancient fields of the blessed. We reinterpret it as a practice, not a place after life, but a way of living now: slowly, kindly, attentively.

02 — Philosophy

Four roots, one canopy.

Everything at Elisium grows from four principles. They shape our buildings, menus, residencies and even how we greet each morning.

→ 12 gardens
III — SOUL

Art as prayer

Residencies for painters, poets, filmmakers. Weekly open studios and night of stories around fire.

→ 140 residents / year
IV — SOCIETY

Belonging without masks

Shared tables, council circles, intergenerational wisdom. No titles, no small talk.

→ 1 long table, 48 seats

06 — Voices

What guests whisper.

"I arrived burnt out and left with soil under nails and a poem in pocket. Elisium doesn't fix you — it reminds you."

Mara J.Designer, 7-day Rooting

"The silence cabins should be prescribed by doctors. I slept 9 hours first night after years of insomnia."

Jonas K.Architect, 3-day Reset

"As a resident painter I found north light and true critique. Exhibiting in the meadow at dusk was unreal."

07 — Questions

Soft answers to hard questions.

Where is Elisium? How do I get there?

We are 90 minutes from the nearest city, deep in protected forest. Shuttle runs twice daily from Central Station. Exact coordinates are shared after booking to preserve quiet.

Is there Wi-Fi and phone signal?

Only in one place — the Stone Office, 200m from living areas, open 2 hours daily. Cabins are intentionally offline. Emergency contact is always available via stewards.

What about food? I'm vegan / allergic?

Our kitchen is 100% vegetarian, 70% vegan, all organic from our gardens. We accommodate allergies with 48h notice. No alcohol on site — herbal infusions instead.

Can I come for one day?

Yes — Open Meadow Sundays, 10am–6pm: garden tour, shared lunch, sauna and concert. Booking via visit section required.

Do you host events and weddings?

Small, quiet ceremonies up to 40 guests in shoulder seasons only. No amplified music after 10pm. We prioritize residents' silence.
